For the purposes of this assignment, you are a newly promoted operations lieutenant assigned to evaluate a recent crime problem in your jurisdiction. A string of late-night burglaries has occurred in a commercial district over the past two weeks. Patrol units have responded to alarms, but no suspects have been apprehended. Your task is to analyze the situation and develop a written recommendation for an operations strategy addressing patrol, investigative, and crime prevention components for your command staff.

Using the required resources for this module and through research on the subject, develop an essay that:
- Describe which patrol methods (e.g., directed, saturation, or routine) you would implement in response to the burglaries.
  - Justify your choice based on deployment efficiency and deterrence potential.
- Outlines how preliminary and follow-up investigations would be conducted. Include how forensic tools (e.g., surveillance footage, fingerprints) might support the case.
- Recommend two community-based or environmental crime prevention strategies.
  - Consider business owner outreach, public awareness campaigns, or target hardening techniques.
- Briefly discuss how you would allocate personnel and coordinate between patrol, investigative, and specialty units.
