Your research paper should thoroughly introduce your chosen organization, evaluate its effectiveness and the challenges it faced. Utilize international relations theories discussed in class to analyze the organization’s behavior and actions.

Introduction: Introduce the international organization and the global challenge you have chosen for your analysis in as much depth as possible. Provide background information and state the objective of your research. Including a clear and strong thesis statement in your introduction.

Methodology: The methodology part of your paper highlights, in as much detail as possible, how you have gone about answering the research question, explaining the methods you use to collect and analyze data. It describes the studys resources, participants, materials, instruments, experimental protocols, measurements, variables, and/or data analysis procedures. Detail the kind of sources you are employing (primary or secondary), the type of data (qualitative, quantitative, or mixed). Refer to what you have learned in IDS 204 – Deriving Insights from Evidence.

Literature Review: Review relevant literature to provide a theoretical framework for your analysis (assess the 5 required academic sources here). The literature review has to include a cricital analysis of the literature rather than just a summary of each source.

Analysis: Analyze the organization’s effectiveness, the strategies it employed, and the challenges it encountered in addressing the global challenge. Discuss the relevant IR theory or theories (max. 2 theories – in order to delve deeper into them) that apply to your organization and global issue.

Conclusion: Summarize the key findings of your analysis and discuss the implications of your findings on global governance and international cooperation (it’s a good idea here to look at the readings we had that discuss these concepts).

References: Include a list of references following APA style. Make sure you use reliable non-academic sources (e.g. the organization’s website) as well as academic sources. A minimum of 6 sources is required; 5 of these have to be academic sources and do not forget about the website of your chosen organization.

Style/Formatting: cover page (title of your paper, name and ID, name of uni, name of college, course title, name of professor, date of submission), no running headers, Times New Roman, font 12, 1.5 or 2.0 spacing, indent new paragraphs, no spaces between paragraphs, footnotes single spaced and font 10, reference list single spaced and alphabetized, page numbers, word count at the end of the paper (before references).

Feel free to use statistics, tables, graphs, etc, which support your paper/argument, but make sure you cite them.

In-text citations are required and have to include page numbers or paragraph for online sources that do not provide page numbers.

Footnotes: these are great to add additional information for the reader when the word count has been exhausted.
