Psychology Question

PSYCH TOPICS ON CULTURE, RACE AND ETHINICITY CLASS:

for the first document, I attached my final paper rough draft. Please turn this into a final paper. Rubric is attached. For the speaker reflection paper, please write me a reflection paper for a speaker that was talking to us in class (he was on zoom and we were in class). I attached his presentation for notes on what to write. guidelines for this: The speaker reflection paper is intended to deepen your engagement with one of our guest speakers and to help you translate their lived/professional expertise into psychological insight. This paper should be three to four pages (approximately 10001250 words) and should demonstrate thoughtfulness, specificity, and clear connection to course themes. You will choose one guest speaker to write about. Speaker reflection papers are due one week after the speakers visit. Late reflection papers will not be accepted.

In your paper, please address the following:

1) Brief summary of the talk (what you heard).
Summarize the speakers main points and the work they do. What kind of role do they occupy (clinician, researcher, educator, advocate, community leader, etc.)? What key experiences shaped their path? What central questions or problems are they addressing?

2) Course connection (think with our concepts).
Make at least two clear connections to course material (readings, models, lecture topics, or key concepts). Where did you hear course themes in the speakers talk (e.g., social construction of race, stereotypes/prejudice/racism, structural inequities, identity development, health disparities, cultural humility, healing/resistance, etc.)? Did the speakers perspective support, complicate, or challenge something weve discussed? What nuance did the speaker add that you wouldnt get from the textbook? Be specific.

3) Reflection and application (why it matters).
Reflect on how the talk intersected with your own thinking and development.

How did the talk land with you (connection, tension, surprise, inspiration)? What questions did it raise for you? Where do you see similarities or differences between your experience and the speakers? End with one meaningful follow-up question you would askand why.
