The primary fashion and design experience Ive had has been through my work within my sorority, though it extended far beyond what the role may initially sound like. For many of our major events, I curated look books and visual styling guides, typically through Google Slides, to help coordinate outfits and maintain a cohesive aesthetic across the chapter. These events included recruitment, semi-formals, formals, and mixers with other organizations, many of which followed specific themes or color palettes. Through this, I developed experience in visual coordination, trend awareness, and creating polished presentations tailored to different event styles and audiences. Id be happy to share examples if that would be helpful.
I pretty much follow all fashion brands, designers, and trends through Instagram and TikTok, especially styling, luxury fashion, and event aesthetics. Im always keeping up with new trends and love using social media for inspiration. I also completed my senior thesis on the impact of social media and study abroad experiences on fashion and self-expression
Digital & Content Skills
Ive created content for both my personal social media accounts and my sororitys accounts, mainly on Instagram and TikTok. I closely helped with content creation, branding, and overall aesthetics, and we saw growth in engagement and follower count, especially on Instagram. TikTok growth was slower, but it still helped increase visibility and interaction for our chapter.
I have plenty experience using Canva, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Lightroom!!!
During my semester abroad in Barcelona, I worked on a group project focused on Bimba y Lola and its branding and marketing approach. Id also be happy to share the Google Slides presentation from that project if that would be helpful.
