Think about the leisure activities that you pursue. In your reflective essay, answer the following questions:

  1. Which ones would you classify as serious leisure pursuits? Describe why you would classify them that way, and what type of serious leisure you think they are (i.e. amateur, hobby, volunteer).
  2. What are some of the benefits that you gain in your life from these serious pursuits? Are there any negatives (describe what they are and why you think they are negatives)?
  3. What are some of the activities in your life that are casual leisure? Again, describe why you could classify them that way.
  4. What are some of the benefits you gain from these casual pursuits? What about negative consequences? Again, describe what they are and why you consider them positive or negative.
