Choose one topic from either category:

• Innovations in New Technology and Care Models
• New treatment options, telehealth, electronic health records, digital health, artificial intelligence (AI), and enabling new care models such as hospital at home
• Hot Topics
• Legal abortion, gun violence, vaccines, LGBTQ health care, funding for medical and public health research, immigrant health careyou must find your own sources to write about these topics.

If you have an idea for another topic that interests you, email your professor to get their approval.

Initial Post

Using 500 to 750 words, address the following prompts:

• Describe your topic and why you chose it.
• Write about the policy and politics of your topic.
• What would the impact of the health policy be on population health within the next five years?

Please include at least two references for your initial post. If you write about Topic 1, one reference must be from this week’s learning materials, and one must have been published within the past two years. If you write about Topic 2, you do not need to reference the learning materials, but you should have at least one reference from a media source published within the past two years.
