Capstone Project Dissemination of Evidence Presentation- Video Presentation Part II
Assignment Overview:
The Capstone Poster Dissemination of Evidence Presentation is a synthesis of your practicum project as two assignments for the purposes of evaluation. In this second assignment, you will create a professional presentation of your completed poster in the form of a video recording. These assignments should be completed in sequence. You must complete the poster first so you can meet the requirements of the video recording. Each assignment will be graded separately.
Presentation Directions:
The use of a video creation tool to create a seamless video presentation is required, and you are required to be on-camera.
- Galen College of Nursing offers students access to premium ScreenPal accounts for their video creation needs in assignments and presentations. If you require assistance with ScreenPal, support is available through Galen’s technical support services at . While you are allowed to use alternative video creation tools, please be aware that Galen’s technical support team cannot provide assistance for these alternatives.
- Be sure to capture both you and your screen (your poster) for the duration of your recording.
- After finalizing the recording of your presentation, copy and paste the URL to the Assignment Dropbox.
- The video presentation should be between 5 to 8 minutes in length.

Presentation Components:
- Introduce yourself and your project
- Practicum Setting and Problem Identification
- Describe the practicum setting in general terms
- Discuss how you discovered this was a nursing problem or issue at your practicum site.
- Discuss what steps you took to access the internal data at your practicum site.
- Provide a brief synthesis of the research findings and how it supports the nursing problem.
- Stakeholders, Preceptor, and Target Population
- Expand on the stakeholders collaborative role in your project related to planning, implementation, and/or evaluation. Discuss preceptors role i.e., communication with student, project planning, stakeholder engagement and collaboration, project feedback, and project completion.
- Discuss your process for target population selection.
- Short-term Goal Achievement
- Explain the process of creating the work product towards short-term goal achievement.
- Project Evaluation, Short-term and Long-term Outcome Achievement
- Discuss how the strategy was implemented and the length of the implementation phase.
- Discuss the results of the data and if the data shows short-term outcome achievement.
- Discuss how meeting your desired long-term outcome could impact other healthcare settings or patient populations.
- Project Summary: Provide a project summary of the following:
- Discuss the limitations, challenges, or barriers of this project.
- Discuss what you would need to adjust or change to the design of your project so your project can be implemented or applied in another healthcare setting or patient population
