Directions:

1. Select a topic related to health that is currently in the news and has applications to education.
2. Research the topic using multiple sources (minimum of 3 sources)
3. Write a 2-3 page paper on the topic that includes:

• An overview of the topic and relevant research from a minimum of three sources
• How the topic relates to CDCs National Health Standards and CA content area standards National Health Standards
• CA Content Area Standards
• Implications for teachers- How can classroom teachers use this information
