Discussion Overview: In this weeks discussion you will discuss how project barriers and collaboration with members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team can impact a small-scale change project. You will also consider if your projects long-term outcomes affect culturally competent care.

Discussion Prompt: Re-state your small-scale change project; your projects short-term goal and your short and long-term project outcomes. Then, answer the prompt.

• What members of the interdisciplinary team have influenced your progress toward your project implementation. – goal, short-term outcome, and or long-term outcome?
• How will achieving your projects short and long-term outcomes improve holistic, culturally competent care for individuals, families, or populations?
• What barrier(s) have you encountered with project implementation?
• If you have not encountered any barriers with project implementation, discuss a potential barrier that can occur with the implementation of your capstone project.
• What would be an appropriate, evidence-based strategy to overcome or prevent the barrier(s) you discussed?
