Instructions

The purpose of this paper is to help parents and potential parents understand what is necessary in order to become an effective parent.

• List TEN principles that you need to engage in so that you are considered an effective parent. You may include principles that are known to be good parental skills or skills that need to be developed before you become a parent.
• Along with each principle, explain you feel that way, with supporting evidence/reference before you move on to the next principle.
• Therefore, you are to format the paper with an introduction, then the body of the paper with the ten principles, and then a conclusion along with the citations.

Each of the ten principles should be about approximately 100 words. The paper should therefore be about 1,000 words in length and should adhere to APA format. Remember, if you make a claim of how a parent should be, you need to support that with a citation from a scholarly source (not just an opinion). This paper is to be submitted to the dropbox.
