Read the How to Analyze a Business Case Study and Case Study Analysis Template resources. You will want to download these and keep them handy for future weeks in this course.
Refer to the scenario from the HBR article and note your answers to the following questions:Helpful Tip: You can use the Background of the Problem section of the Case Study Analysis Template to list your answers to these questions:
- Who are the key players in this scenario (names, titles)?
- What is the essence of the business challenge in this case?
- What key factors in the scenario are strategically important to the central characters, senior leaders, and company?
Review the other resources and consider your initial thoughts about how studying case studies might be useful to you as a student in a professional doctorate program.

Submit a 2- to 3-page summary of the case (using the template as a guide) in which you do the following:

Describe the key players and their roles in this scenario (names, titles).
Explain the essence of the business challenge.
Describe the key factors in the scenario that are strategically important to the central characters, senior leaders, and company.
Explain how studying business cases can support you in your DBA program and in your professional career.

Refer to the Week 1 Assignment Rubric for specific grading elements and criteria. Your Instructor will use this rubric to assess and grade your Assignment.Please Note: For each page of your paper, you must include APA-formatted citations and relevant examples to support your work.
