Write a Reflection with Annotated Bibliography (see Unit 3 for a refresher) for all five of this unit’s Thematic Texts articles from (Bonnie Tsui’s The Grasshopper, Megan Craig’s Unmoored, Cal Newport’s The Original Idea, Tim Herrera’s The Brain Drain, and Peter Sagal’s, Distance), this time making sure to include your own take on each of the articles your own personal thinking about the topic, argument, ideas, examples, and/or presentation each author puts forward. Peek ahead at the Unit 6 Analytic Essay Project , and add a proposal for that essay project, with some possible research questions and tentative thesis statements. Peek ahead at the Unit 6 ANALYTIC ESSAY PROJECT

• Using last weeks Reflection and Research Proposal and your thinking and discussion over the past week, find at least two additional (academic) sources that are related in some way to one of the Thematic Texts from Unit 5 (Tsui, Craig, Newport, Herrera, Sagal).
• Write an in which you present your chosen texts to an audience of uninformed readers, discuss how the articles relate to one other, and engage in a critical conversation with your sources. Like the Reflection projects, this should include summary, paraphrase, direct quotation, examples, explanation, APA citations and an Annotated Bibliography. To satisfy the analytic requirement for the project, it should contain an original thesis statement and should make an original argument, with clear explanation of that argument and of the textual evidence supporting it.
