Societal institutions such as family and marriage are evolving. Case in point, according to the fewer American adults are choosing to marry or are waiting to a later age to do so. Women are also ; fewer children are being born, and genetic screening now allows a parent to decide the sex of their child. With these statistics in mind (please specify what data you are referring to in your post) speculate on why these trends are occurring, (hopefully using Bronfenbrenner’s Ecological model as a lens for your analysis), and what might be the future of marriage and family.
