Theories of Attention Presentation

Assessment Description

There are many theories related to attention regulation. In this assignment, you will prepare and present some of the current attention and consciousness theories while examining neural network connections and the effectiveness of treatment.

In 15-20 slides, address these prompts:

  • Compare the different theories of attention including at least two of the following theories: Attenuation, Bottleneck, Selective, Top-Down vs. Bottom-Up Regulation.
  • Discuss which neural networks are related to symptoms of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) or Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD). Provide support from the literature.
  • Provide an example of ADHD or FASD treatment and analyze its effectiveness from the perspective of the theories of attention.

Support your findings with at least four scholarly resources.

The presentation will include detailed speaker notes. Expand upon the information included in the slide and do not simply restate it. Each slide should have a minimum of 75-100 words (the title and references slides do not require speaker notes).
