The success of community college students

Interest Group Writing Assignment: You must read Chapter 7 in your textbook to complete this assignment. Create an interest group based on a topic you think is important to the academic success of community college students. Use only one topic. Do not use multiple topics. Describe your topic and how it affects the academic success of community college students. For this paper, academic success is defined as making good grades, successfully completing classes and graduating from a community college and/or transferring to a university, or getting a job in your field. What exactly does your group want the ACC Board of Trustees or the Texas state government to do to address/solve this issue. You may include the federal government as well given it has some involvement in public education. How will your group influence the government(s) to create and implement your policy ideas? How will you attempt to influence the different branches of government? What is the free-rider problem and how will your group minimize it? (ALL interest groups have this problem).
