Temperature and Solubility of Salts

**This is a simulated lab assignment **

Use NaCl and KCIO3 as your solutions for this lab report. Include a hypothesis, results and conclusion. Add a graph that

shows the relationship visually:

  • KClO3 solubility increases sharply with temperature.
  • NaCl solubility increases slightly.

Report

1 -Hypothesis:

  • State a clear prediction before doing the experiment.

(Example: If the temperature of water increases, then the solubility of salts will increase.)

  • Place this at the top of the report, labeled Hypothesis.

2 -Results:

  • Include a table or graph showing the amount of each salt dissolved at different temperatures.
  • Make sure the table has labeled columns (e.g., Temperature, KClO3, NaCl).
  • Include a brief description of the trend: e.g., Solubility of KClO3 increases sharply; NaCl increases slightly.
  • Label this section Results.

3 -Conclusion:

  • Summarize the overall findings and relate them to the hypothesis.

(Example: The solubility of both KClO3 and NaCl increased with temperature, supporting the hypothesis.)

  • Mention any unusual observations or errors briefly.
  • Label this section Conclusion.

Add Lab Equipment Images

  1. Include only equipment used: beaker, test tube, stirring rod, hot plate, thermometer.
  2. Place images near Materials, Results, or next to the table/graph.
  3. Use small, cartoon-style icons and label if needed.
  4. Keep consistent style and neat alignment.
