Survey Sampling and Plan

Purpose:

The purpose of this assignment is to help you practice designing a brief survey and creating a sampling strategy. These skills are essential for gathering valid, reliable, and ethical data in social work research and evaluation.

Instructions:

  • Develop a Short Survey (810 Items)
  • Include a mix of question types: Likert scales (rating agreement or frequency), multiple-choice, and at least one open-ended question.
  • Make sure each question clearly aligns with your chosen research topic (e.g., client needs, community barriers, program satisfaction).
  • Write questions in clear, simple language to avoid confusion or bias.
  • Write a Sampling Plan (1 Paragraph)
  • Your plan should explain:
  • Target Population: Who do you want to survey (e.g., parents in a parenting program, community members in a neighborhood, clients at an agency)?
  • Sampling Method: Identify whether you are using probability (randomized) or non-probability(convenience, purposive, snowball) sampling, and explain why.
  • Recruitment Strategies: Describe how you would reach participants (e.g., flyers at an agency, email invitations, in-person recruitment).
  • Submission
