n essence, you are tasked with creating a design-based project (I will be expecting a brochure or a poster) that has a separate panel or section for each rubric prompt listed below here:
- Origins of Stress
- Risks of Stress
- Biopsychosocial Effects of Stress
- Coping with Stress
- Resources Available for Support
–
The link is to a Canva design which shows the easiest way to take these prompts and make them each have their own section of the brochure. Place the reference list on its own page instead of within a panel itself. When you open the Canva link, do not resolve any comments on there as it removes it from everyones view!
–
Below is a list of things to make sure your submission has to maximize points:
–
- Make sure each panel has a citation (in parentheses) on it.
- Make sure to paraphrase, not directly quote.
- Make sure to write in a third-person narrative.
- Make sure each panel has around 50-75 words.
- Make sure each rubric prompt gets its own panel.
- Make sure there is a reference list on its own page outside of the main panels.
- Make sure to follow APA documentation as best as possible.
- Make sure to hit the minimum source count with scholarly articles, you can exceed the limit with other sources as long as the minimum is hit with journal articles (stick to these guidelines for all assignments in this class).
- Keep sources within the 2000’s at minimum in this class and with this assignment.
I recommend submitting this as a .PDF file for stability in Halo when I grade it! The purpose of this assignment is to create an informative and engaging education resource tailored to a specific audience. This project aims to address the chosen audiences unique needs and concerns while comprehensively exploring the multiple aspects of stress and its impact on physical and mental health.
After reading Chapters 3, 4 and 5 in the textbook, you will create either a newsletter, poster, or brochure in which you comprehensively explain the following:
- Identify and discuss the origins of stress and how stress affects people (i.e., financial, school, work, relationships).
- Identify the risks of stress on an individuals health. What are the biopsychosocial effects of stress on the body (include both short- and long-term effects)? What factors put someone at risk for stress and disease?
- Discuss at least three ways an individual can manage and cope with stress.
- What networks, groups or local resources are available for support (i.e., places of worship, family, friends, counselor)?
Choose an appropriate audience to address in your project (examples include a traditional college student, an online college student, a military veteran). Make sure that your project incorporates information that clearly relates to and targets your chosen audience.
- Use two or three current scholarly resources in your project. Your textbook and scholarly internet sources are acceptable.
