Description of the Assessment Task (also – read the attached please)
Overview: Choose a topic introduced during this course and critique its application within a business context you have flexibility to choose whether this be within an organisational context that you are familiar with or with a company / sector that you have never worked in but may have interest in (provided that you can gather sufficient secondary data on the company to write an informative report).
On choosing the topic, it is recommended that you liaise with a member of the course team to confirm that the scope of your chosen topic is appropriately focused.
Report Structure: Your report should consider the following elements.
- Cover page
- Report introduction (i.e. overview the structure of your report)
- Topic introduction (this may include a definition of the topic area, brief rationale for why you have chosen the topic, and an introduction to the organisational context within which it will be applied)
- Critical analysis (this may include an example of the topic in application*; analysis of the pros/cons of the topic in application within the specific organisational context; evaluation of criticisms and/or limitations of the topic beyond the immediate application context)
- Draw out key learnings
- References
Models and frameworks utilised should be illustrated and then explained within the main report. Illustrations do not contribute towards word count.
Deliverable: 2,000 words (+/- 10%)
