Students will select one community, neighborhood, or organization (local, national, or international) and address the following:
- Context and Description
- Description of the community or organization
- Population(s) served and mission or purpose
- Identified Need or Challenge
- One key social, organizational, or community-level issue
- Use of basic data or credible sources
- Strengths and Assets
- Existing resources, leadership, or community capacity
- Explicit use of the Strengths and Affirmation principles
- Macro Practice Relevance
- How does this issue reflect the role of macro social work
- Ethical considerations and implications
Focus: assessment, clarity, and accurate use of macro concepts, not exhaustive evaluation.
