Part B – Reflection Paper Summarize your experience exploring the movement in an 810-page reflection paper that identifies that micro, mezzo, and/or macro-level changes. Address questions/prompts 2a 2f from the timeline portion of the project, Include the following reflection/analysis as a separate section of the paper: What people, events, and legislation stood out to you from the time period you studied? How have things changed racially, socially, economically, and/or environmentally since the time period studied? What impact did this time period have on the field of social work? What systematic changes were made to address oppression and racial and cultural injustices? How did social, economic, political, racial, and cultural exclusions create privilege and power resulting in systemic oppression? What role did or should social work have played in addressing problems during this time period? Give and describe specific skill examples. Why was/is cultural humility necessary? Part B – Reflection Paper Formatting Requirements: 5-7 pages, not including title and reference pages. Paper must be formatted according to APA Publication Manual requirements. 1 margins, 12-point Times New Roman font, Page numbers in the upper right on each page. Format titlepage according to APA Publication Manual Student Style. All sources must be cited and referenced according to APA Publication Manual. Failure to properly cite and reference all sources is considered plagiarism and will result in a score of 0 for the assignment. With the exception of historical or seminal documents, all sources should be from peer-reviewed professional journals and no more than 7-10 years old. Quotes are acceptable but should be infrequent and brief (i.e., no more than 2 in the entire paper and no more than 1 sentence long). Material(s) previously submitted to any Charter Oak class cannot be used without written permission of the instructor. Reflection Paper is due on the Saturday of Week 8 of the term and must be uploaded by 11:59 PM ET, using Week 8 – Part B – Timeline Project – Reflection Paper assignment link. Late assignments will not be accepted.
