The final paper should be 4-5 pages total double spaced and you should include references where applicable. For your final assignment: Select a social justice concern from any country outside of the USA, including Puerto Rico or Guam (U.S. territories) Use the social justice definition from section 1 paper and ascertain whether the issue in question aligns with the principles of social justice. Your essay should begin by identifying how your chosen issue meets the criteria based on your social justice definition. 2. Find out the following about the issue and include in your essay: Is the issue widely evident to everyone or a hidden issue? Explain (for example, systematic racism is a huge problem in the US but not everyone acknowledges or understands its impact) What is the extent of the problem? Include statistics, prevalence, who, where, when and how? What does the general community think about the problem and what are they doing to address it? Has the issue been addressed in the local/international media? (if so, reference those articles) Are other nations impacting this issue, for good or ill? What services or resources are there to deal with the issue–list at least 3 different resources offering alternative solutions for example if your issue is domestic violence in Haiti, shelter would be one resource, counseling would be another one… in other words don’t just list different shelters as resources. You can search the internet for this information or include information from resources you are aware of or contact by phone or in person. At least two resources must be from the selected countrys region.
