This task is part of a group research report for a university Public Health course (PUBH115). The overall topic is Social Anxiety Among University Students in the UAE, and the report is structured using the Social Ecological Model (SEM).
I am responsible ONLY for the following three SEM levels:
- Individual Level
- Interpersonal Level
- Organisational Level
The total word count must be strictly between 500550 words.
This section must critically analyze how factors at each of these three SEM levels contribute to the development, maintenance, and reinforcement of social anxiety among university students. The discussion should go beyond defining social anxiety or describing the SEM; instead, it must clearly apply the SEM framework to the issue.
At the Individual level, examine psychological, cognitive, and behavioral factors (e.g., maladaptive thought patterns, fear of negative evaluation, low self-esteem, avoidance behaviors, perfectionism, social media comparison).
At the Interpersonal level, analyze the role of peer relationships, family expectations, social support, academic competition, cultural norms, and fear of social judgment.
At the Organisational level, focus specifically on university structures and systems, such as presentation-based assessments, participation grading, classroom dynamics, competitive academic environments, limited mental health screening, and institutional stigma.
The writing must:
- Be formal and academic in tone
- Demonstrate critical thinking and integration of theory
- Use recent peer-reviewed journal articles (preferably 20152024)
- Include Harvard-style in-text citations
- Avoid generic explanations of SEM
- Clearly show how these levels interact to sustain social anxiety
- Be 100% original and Turnitin-safe
Subheadings must be used:
Individual Level
Interpersonal Level
Organisational Level
The section must be cohesive and suitable for integration into a larger academic group report.
I will attach a sample report, and the rubric with guidlines.
Requirements: 500
