This assignment is designed to provide experience in creating a Site Initiation Visit (SIV) training presentation for a clinical trial. Students will gain practical skills in research, content development, and presentation design within a condensed timeframe, simulating the fast-paced nature of clinical research environments.

Assignment Details:

Develop and narrate a professional presentation that could be used during an SIV for the DTCC-1200 protocol. The objective is to utilize the presentation to ensure research staff at a study staff are adequately trained on the protocol.

  • Content should include:
  • Introduction slide including protocol title, date, presenter information (remember, you are playing the CRA role)
  • Brief review of indication and investigational product
  • Study objectives and endpoints
  • Study design
  • Review of eligibility criteria, screening, and consent process
  • Schedule of participant activities
  • Study procedures and assessments
  • Investigational product management
  • Adverse events and safety reporting
  • Data collection and reporting
  • Expected length: 12-20 slides (~15 minute presentation)
