Sense Impressions

Purpose: Apply writing concepts and critical thinking. This activity will assess students’ understanding of a critical analysis of an image. This is a free writing assignment geared towards assessing students’ writing and obtaining a general idea of critical thinking abilities. Students will read, analyze, and interpret images and write essays that demonstrate an understanding of detailed and organized introductory, body, and concluding paragraphs. Students will also practice avoiding errors in conventions and practice writing clearly regarding grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure.

The time it should take to complete the assignment: 1 hour

Instructions:

• View the image presented.
• What do you see?
• Is there a relationship within the image?
• When viewing the image, what might you feel, hear, smell, or taste?
• Type at least 2 pages, double-spaced, using 12 Font Times New Roman in essay format addressing all questions above.
• Do not go under two pages (600-550 words) and submit a Word or PDF document.
• Please use formal writing abiding by grammar and punctuation rules.
• No research is required, as this is a critical-thinking exercise.
• 10 Points.

Please submit all work in MLA Format

1. Use an easily readable font like 12 pt Times New Roman.
2. Set 1-inch page margins for the top, bottom, and sides of your paper.
3. Apply double line spacing.
4. Include a four-line MLA heading on the first page.
5. Center the paper’s title. (Don’t forget to remove the centering function before you start your first paragraph).
6. Indent every new paragraph 12 inch or 0.5. ( You cannot have a one-page paragraph. Please separate your thoughts).
7. Spell Check and Grammar check.
