You will then write a four-to-five-page paper (using APA format) that reviews the two articles. Note that your title page, abstract page, and reference page are not included in the 4-5 page requirement.

Content will be a literature review of your research. To be successful in this paper your response must:

1. What does prior research tell us about your topic?

What research existed on this topic prior to the publications of the articles you chose? This will be described in your articles (see your research worksheets!). Your Introduction should thoroughly address what prior research existed relating to your topic.

1. What did your two articles find?

You should be addressing each article in detail. Your summaries for each article should include the information that you found in your research worksheets. Make sure that you integrate them well into your response (meaning do not just copy and paste the research worksheet, make sure there is organization and flow to how you approach each articles findings).

1. Why are the findings important? What would be the take away of the combined results?

This section is really important! You are doing more than comparing and contrasting in this section. In this section you should be analyzing how your articles together provide a better understanding of your original topic (from Step 1). How are these articles advancing the understanding of your topic? How did they continue from prior research? What new findings did they include and what new research questions could now be investigated by their collective findings? Here you are creating your own discussion section of the combined article findings.

1. How do the findings apply to everyday life?

Explain how EACH of your two articles applies psychological science principles and research findings to everyday life.
