Scientific evaluation paper

Claim: Chronic social isolation contributes to increased depressive symptoms and weak cognitive functioning in students and young adults.

Thesis: In students and young adults, chronic social isolation is associated with increased depressive symptoms and poor cognitive performance through stress dysregulation, neuroinflammation, sleep disruption, and altered brain plasticity and network function.

You can tweak or change my claim or thesis to something better and stronger. This is what I could come up with so far.

I have attached the rubric to follow for the assignment. I am aiming for an A+, A the least B+. I have already lost 5% so I need to get the full 20%.

The paper is 12 pages excluding references.

Minimum of 25 references total, including:

• 20 primary research articles
• 15 primary articles from 2016 or later
• 5 primary animal studies
• 5 references addressing equity-deserving / ethnoracial / cultural issues

All references must follow a consistent citation style
