Saving Private Ryan

This assignment requires you to write a 1 – 2 page paper discussing the sound and music for the scenes that we watched in class. In order to get full credit for this assignment you need to only use up to 12 point font, must be at least 1 page, anything beyond 1 page will get you bonus points, and it should be double spaced. Make it look decent and well put together, try your best at using proper grammar and punctuation and please proof-read your paper at least once. This ain’t no English class, but I ain’t no mind reader, neither!

Lastly, I too have already seen these films, multiple times, so I DO NOT want to hear your synopsis of the film, I want to hear how the soundtrack directly affected you. Do not discuss the plot of the movie unless you are explaining how a specific sound effect helped add to the emotion of a particular scene. I want to hear your opinion about all of the audio elements youre familiar with in regards to this film, not just one of them. This semester is your chance to REALLY delve into the emotions and story telling of sound and music in film (the other half of it all)!
