Researching a Special Population

Explore the special population that you selected, and write a 3-4 page paper on your findings.

1. Specifically describe the rate (prevalence of occurrence) for substance use disorders (including tobacco, alcohol, among other psychoactive drugs) common among Mental Disorder Type B (Cluster B) .
2. Describe the most common forms of substances that are used, risk factors that appear to support drug use and addiction, common concurrent or drug-related problems (social, legal, medical and mental health), and specific indicators and symptoms of a substance use or gambling disorder. Discuss any challenges that are noted for assessing and treating this population.
3. In your conclusion, provide a summary about what you discovered, including surprising facts, insights you gained, misconceptions you held, and other details that you learned and that others might need to know.
4. Be sure to list all references at end of the paper and cite all non-original sources in your narrative per APA style.
