Research Proposal Peer Review: Post your 1-2 page draft research proposal for peer review. In your draft, you should: Introduce your research topic and discuss it in greater detail and how it relates to the theme of lies and misinformation in that topic (remember, you’re not writing on a topic, but how lies and misinformation have skewed the public’s view of a topic – i.e. not abortion rights, but how lies and misinformation have been used to sway public opinion from the truth). Discuss the specific research you’ve done – names of sources and dates (make sure some are current) and how you’ve done it Layout how you will finish your research and writing by the March 24 deadline – what you need to do in the next 3 weeks You will also include a 1-2 minute video detailing the content in your proposal or any questions, struggles you may be having that you want to get help on. You will receive one proposal to peer review. Make sure provide the writer feedback on how well they summarize their topic and how it relates to the assignment, whether it’s clear and concise and state what you think is the main idea they’re conveying. Post drafts of your research proposals by Wednesday, March 4 by 11:59 PM. I will then match your draft with someone to review it and you must provide feedback – written and a video comments to your classmate by Friday, March 6 by 11:59 PM. It is essential you post your draft on time so I can get your draft to someone for feedback. If you miss uploading your draft by the time I pair you, you will get a 0 for the assignment. If you get feedback and don’t give feedback to someone, you will get a 0, even if you posted your draft. Make sure to give constructive, supportive feedback. Give the kind of feedback that you would like to get. Harsh or overly negative feedback won’t be useful and won’t be given credit. Don’t edit for any grammar errors. I cannot take late assignments because I have to pair you when the assignment is due. If you miss the Wednesday deadline, you won’t be able to participate in this assignment and get peer feedback.
