SUBMISSION REQUIREMENT BASICS:
1) MS Word (.docx) file with 1″ margins; Times New Roman Font (size 11); double spaced
2) Complete response should be ~250 words (minimum 200; maximum 300)
Submitted critiques should include the following four (4) paragraphs:
- INTRO: Identify key elements found in the case summary/description that explain the purpose and rationale for this article.
- DISCUSSION/CASE RESOLUTION: Focus on one (1) of the “QUESTIONS TO CONSIDER” presented by the authors by reviewing the discussion. Assess the author’s discussion argument as it correlates to the results obtained. Do the results validate/support the discussion & conclusion?
- LAB INVESTIGATION: Briefly explain lab tests used to assess this case including information about potential interference (from medications, patient sample handling, etc).
- CONCLUSIONS: In 2-3 sentences, state your conclusion regarding this case and the role of the lab in the diagnosis and treatment of the patient’s condition.
