RESEARCH AN ORGANIZATION

MIS is an important support function in almost every organization. You will likely use an information system in the workplace. This assignment will allow you to leam about the different categories of information systems used in a specific business area. Also, you will confirm that the information systems area is an important function of a company.

If you work for an organization that uses Information Systems, or if you can interview somebody that works at such an organization, your paper can describe the applications of Information Systems and implementation issues in this arganization.

• Identify SPECIFIC EXAMPLES of applications used by the organization. Describe the organizational benefits provided by the information systems.
• Identify any challenges or problems during the implementation or use of these information systems. In your conclusion, answer the following question: Is information technology essential for this organization, or is it only a secondary support tool?

Select an option for your paper. Option A is an organization. Post your selection on the board “Rescarch Paper Sign-In” in the Blackboard forum. The subject of your posting should be the option number.

Use any style you prefer, APA, MLA, or other. A list of references is eptional.

Your paper must be single-spaced. (Note that APA guidelines specify double-spaced, but this will be an exception to the guidelines so that 1 can display your entire paper on my screen. No specific font size or page margins are required, but remember, your paper should look professional (for example, font 13 with 1 12″ margins may not look professional).

There is NO required length for your paper.

Check your paper for correct spelling and grammar.

Your paper must be based on an interview or self-experience

Please submit your paper to the Turnitin box before the due date so you have adequate time to revise it as needed

Submit the final draft of your paper and attachments to the Blackboard drop box by the due date (20% per day late penalty)
