Case Study 3 Reproductive Health
Kai is a 16-year-old high school student who has recently become sexually active with her
17-year-old boyfriend. She comes to the family planning clinic to discuss her options for
contraception. She tells the nurse that she isnt worried about sexually transmitted infections, but
her mom will freak out if she gets pregnant. She doesnt want her parents to know that she has
visited the clinic and she is worried that they will find out she is having sex. She has heard about
IUDs from a friend and wants to know if this is a good option for her.
