Step 1: Read Chapter 4 on Islamic Terrorism in the book Terror in the Mind of God

Step 2: Write out responses to the following questions:

What is the connection between Al-Qaida and ISIS, and why is that important to know?
How would you summarize modern Islamic justifications for violence?
How are these justifications the same, and how are they different from what you learned about Christian justifications for violence in the other chapter you read by Juergensmeyer, as well as what you’ve learned in class so far?
