• Please remember your reaction piece is intended to give you the opportunity to think, and explain a topic on your own terms – based on what you are reading in the text or other sources. To this end, remember to:
• Include your own thoughts/observations/reflections, as they are just as important as factual content
• Please “ground” your essay by citing or referring to the professional literature i.e., the text or other articles so as to show you have examined your topic in the professional sources
• You are definitely welcome to refer to actual statements made in the source, and reflect on them back and forth. Just don’t make your essay a summary repeat of what the source says, as your reactions are important.
