Reflection GLOH 4000

Purpose

Reflective inquiry is an essential component of professional nursing practice that supports self-awareness, identification of knowledge gaps, and continuous professional development. This assignment provides students the opportunity to reflect on their learning experiences throughout the course and evaluate their growth as BSN-prepared nurses.

Assignment Description

Students will complete one comprehensive reflection at the conclusion of the course that examines their overall learning journey in Global Health. This reflection should synthesize course content, personal achievements, and professional growth rather than focusing on individual weekly activities.

Reflection Guidelines

The final reflection should address the following areas:

  • Your overall learning journey and experience throughout the course
  • Key knowledge, skills, and competencies gained related to global health
  • How the course contributed to your development as a BSN-prepared professional nurse
  • Identification of areas of growth and remaining learning needs
  • One specific, concrete example demonstrating how you achieved a course objective.

The reflection should demonstrate thoughtful analysis, insight, and professional self-evaluation rather than a summary of course content.
