reflection and goal setting

this is a two part assignment

part 1: CRate a powerpoint presentation with a transcrit that is 3-5 minutes long. the transcrit should not be verbatim but to the powerpoint, but answers the questions.

You are in your first weeks of clinical as a nurse practitioner student. This early phase of clinical often includes a mix of excitement, uncertainty, and rapid learning. Reflection and intentional goal setting are essential skills for developing clinical confidence, clinical reasoning, and professional identity.

For this discussion, you will complete a brief written component and a short audio reflection.

INITIAL POST REQUIREMENTS

Your initial post must include BOTH of the following components.

A. WRITTEN COMPONENT

In the body of your post, clearly list three SMART goals for this semester. Each goal must be specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time bound.

B. AUDIO COMPONENT

Record a short audio clip and attach or embed it in your post. In your audio reflection, respond to the following questions in order.

  1. EARLY CLINICAL REFLECTION
  2. What parts of clinical so far have you felt most confident or comfortable in?
  3. What aspects of clinical have felt most challenging or unfamiliar… answer writing SOAP Notes getting the correct fomat?
  4. What has surprised you about the nurse practitioner role compared to your expectations?
  5. AREAS FOR GROWTH
  6. Identify one to two specific areas where you would like to see growth this semester.
  7. Explain why these areas are important to your development as a future nurse practitioner.
  8. GOALS AND BABY STEPS
  9. Briefly explain the three SMART goals you listed in your written post.
  10. Describe the specific baby steps you will take to work toward each goal.
  11. How will you know you are making progress?
  12. CLINICAL EXPERIENCE AND OWNERSHIP OF LEARNING
  13. What support or resources do you anticipate needing to meet your goals?
  14. What strategies will you use during and after clinical to ensure you are getting what you need from each experience?
  15. How will you take ownership of your clinical learning experience if you find your needs are not being met?
