Reading Response 04: Reading Annotation
Annotation
For this assignment, use quotations from the readings to highlight important concepts, mark areas where you have questions or want to focus our discussion, and make connections between the two texts. This will help you practice close reading, make connections between the authors, and prepare for our in-class discussion.
Assigned Readings:
- Byrum, Greta. ” Urban Omnibus (Digital Frictions), October 2019. Accessed online.
- Holt, Jennifer and Patrick Vonderau. “‘Where the Internet Lives’: Data Centers as Cloud Infrastructure.” Signal Traffic, 2015, pp. 71-88.

- Choose 3-4 short passages from these readings that you found provocative, confusing, or important. At least 1 passage must come from each text.

- Why did you choose it? What drew your attention to this passage? Why does it matter?
- What questions does it raise? What do you want to explore or understand more deeply?
- How does it connect to other ideas? Link the passage to another course concept, a reading, or even a personal experience with technology.
