Reading Report 1

Each of these reader reports will be no less than two (2) pages, and no more than three (3) pages in length and should respond to, or elaborate on some aspect of the texts (note that here and throughout text refers to films to the same extent that is does to memoirs, novels, or critical works) that we have been examining in the week before it is due.

Reader report 1 will identify one aspect, passage, scene, theme, or symbol in the text you have chosen, and discuss (a) why this aspect is important for understanding this text in response to the theme of the class, and (b) why this aspect deserves further consideration. For this report, please select from one of the works read in the first three weeks of the course.
