Part 3:

Write out responses to the following questions:

1. a. Explain how the Sermon on the Mount by Jesus inspired Dr. Stassen to come up with the Just Peacemaking principles

b. Dr. Stassen came up with the Just Peacemaking principles a while ago– of the 10 principles, pick 3 that you think our society and world need most right now. Explain why.

2. As you can read in the open letter, there were religious leaders (Christian and Jewish) who opposed what Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. did to end segregation and address racist practices in the US. After reading their letter and Dr. King’s response to them, what stands out to you most in terms of what the Christian faith has to say about action and advocacy work?
