Part 1:
Review the assigned research studies on hope. Do not use the abstract.
1. Quote the purpose/aim (with proper APA citation). Describe research design, data collection methods, and the actual sample characteristics (not the inclusion/exclusion criteria) for each assigned study.
2. Analyze two strengths and limitations of each assigned study in your opinion (not in the authors’ words).
Part II:
Choose a quantitative or qualitative nursing study from your proposed list of references for your proposal paper (Hint-this is an opportunity to add another article to your list). Download the full text article and attach the study PDF to your initial Discussion Board posting.
In paragraph format provide a summary of the study (follow the format of the posted examples sample, not a general summary. There two samples: One for a quantitative article & one for a qualitative article). The summary must be written as follows: Authors names et al., (yr) note that the . . .
Quote the purpose (use proper APA citations) and a description of the research design, sampling size with details (important to study) of the demographic characteristics (not the inclusion/exclusion criteria), and findings in words. This is how the summaries will be presented in the Research Proposal Paper.
Part III
- State your developing research proposal title. What specific research design (quantitative or qualitative) do you think is most appropriate to address this topic? Describe the rationale for your proposed research design. Support the rationale with references from the textbook.
- Provide a substantive response to at least two colleagues regarding the assigned quantitative/qualitative research study readings, selected research study/PDF (proposal) reference.
- Provide feedback on the colleague’s research proposal title/topic, and the nursing research proposal’s design. Does the selected research study support their research proposal?
