Instructions
Use the template and the case study provided by your instructor to complete the following:
- Describe the RBT:
- Provide basic demographic information.
- Describe the RBTs professional experience or background.
- Explain any differences or similarities between your background and the RBTs (for example, cultural background, experience, training, et cetera).
- First Meeting:
- Explain what you and your supervisee will do in your first meeting.
- List your performance expectations for the supervisee.
- Describe how supervision will be structured, including the frequency, duration, and location of meetings.
- List the types of activities the supervisee will take part in.
- Describe how you will measure your supervisees competence (for example, tests, checklists, observations).
- Include a copy of your supervision contract.
- Second Meeting:
- Describe which skills your supervisee has already mastered and which ones they still need to work on. (Refer to the provided case study.)
- List three clear and achievable goals for your supervisee to work on.
- Provide your observation schedule for the next month.
- Subsequent Meetings:
- Explain what you and your supervisee will do in future meetings.
- Describe the training tool(s) you will use to help the supervisee improve skills they have not mastered yet. Include at least one scholarly resource to support this strategy.
- Provide a sample fidelity checklist for one skill your supervisee is working on.
- List other tools or systems you will use to measure performance (in addition to the fidelity checklist).
- Evaluation:
- Describe three methods you will use to evaluate the effectiveness of your supervision.
- Compassionate Supervision:
- Explain how you will include compassionate, supportive practices in your supervision plan. Include a scholarly resource and example to support your approach.
Additional Requirements
- Written Communication: Writing should be free of errors that detract from the overall message.
- APA Formatting: References and citations are formatted according to APA style guidelines. Use for guidance in citing sources in proper APA style. See the for more APA resources specific to your degree level.
- Resources: At least three scholarly or professional resources.

By successfully completing this assignment, you will demonstrate your proficiency in the following course competencies and rubric criteria:
- Competency 2: Apply performance monitoring systems to oversee behavior change programs.

- Clearly outlines the details of what should happen during the first supervision meeting (for example, performance expectations, how to measure competence, et cetera).
- Includes a supervision contract with essential elements.
- Provides accurate details of what should happen during the second supervision meeting including three objective measurable performance goals related to the RBTs skill set.
- Explains what will be done in the third meeting and beyond including evidence-based strategies for training or support with a behavior-analytic resource.
- Includes a fidelity checklist that will accurately measure the performance of a skill related to the RBTs skill set.
- Describes three appropriate methods to evaluate supervision effectiveness.
- Competency 3: Apply compassionate approaches to supervisory practices.
- Explain how compassionate supervisory practices were incorporated into the supervision plan.
- Competency 4: Communicate in a manner that is scholarly and consistent with expectations for professionals in the field of psychology.
- Demonstrate an academic writing style through well-organized prose that follows assignment guidelines.
- Demonstrate compliance with APA citation and referencing guidelines.
