Assignment Overview

Program Evaluation Project Draft 1: The first part of the counseling program evaluation project will be focused on the Needs Assessment. Students will submit what will equate to half of their final paper for this first draft. This first half of the paper will describe in detail a needs assessment for a specific counseling intervention or program of interest to you. You will use the same content developed for course discussions and assignments. Please use the associated Draft 1 Outline and rubric to guide your writing of the paper.

A counseling intervention that I am interested in is (CBT) Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and (TF-CBT) Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

Utilize what you have read in your textbook, assigned reading materials, and journal articles reporting current research and evaluation in counseling. The focus of the counseling program will be the same subject/topic that you have been working with in course discussions. Cite and include references for 5 journal articles using APA format.

Feedback from the instructor will be given. It is expected that changes, modifications, and corrections recommended in the feedback will be made in the final paper.

Please limit the page number for the Draft Part 1 to a maximum of 3-4 pages, double spaced, with a (Student) cover page. APA references and citations should be included. The cover & reference pages are not counted in the overall page number limit.

Guidelines:

Your assignment submission should be 3-4 pages in length. It should contain proper grammar, be free of spelling errors, and reflect critical thinking. You must use APA 7th edition format (student paper), include a cover page, in-text citations, and references.
