Discussion Thread: Professional Networking and Fieldwork Preparation After completing the assigned Learn items, respond to the prompts below. Discuss the importance of professional networking while you are in training and after you are licensed. Identify at least 3 potential fieldwork sites in your community (name and website) and provide a brief description of the services they offer and populations they serve. To prepare for the Module 8: Week 8 Discussion, find and request an interview with an independently licensed professional counselor (not a pre-fully licensed counselor). As this is an orientation to the field of clinical mental health, please identify a clinical mental health counselor and not someone from a related field. Ideally work from the sites you identified in your community as potential fieldwork sites; however if this is not possible any independently licensed mental health counselor will be acceptable. The interview can take place in person, on the phone, or through e-mail.
