1 Group Presentation 1 Group Selfie: to ensure that groups meet physically, students must take a picture together in the library and submit it via Moodle in the assignment location. Points will only be awarded if all members of record are in the picture. 2 The purpose of this project is for your group to narrate the storyline of the Bible using Vaughan Roberts eight-part summary from Gods Big Picture and thus demonstrate the unity of the Old and New Testaments 3 Groups will be assigned in class 4 The project has two components: slides and the in-class presentation of the slides 1 Slides 1 Use Google Slides; the slides must be shared with the professor before Tuesday of presentation week 2 Someone in the group must submit the presentation on Moodle before class time on the first day of presentations (multiple members submitting might avoid potential errors or miscommunication). 3 Required Content: 1 At least one slide for each chapter in Roberts book, with a heading labeling its part in the Bibles storyline 1 Each slide should summarize that portion of the storyline of the Bible 2 Each slide should contain a key biblical text from that portion of the storyline of the Bible 3 Each slide should demonstrate how that portion of the Bibles storyline relates to Jesus Christ (e.g., anticipation, prediction, explanation, proclamation, etc.) 2 Source material 1 Cite (MLA) regularly with page numbers from Roberts in parentheses on every slide 2 Only use Roberts and Bible verses in your slides 2 Presentation 1 At least 8 minutes in duration 2 Everyone in the group needs to speak evenly 3 The presentation should serve to concisely narrate the storyline of the Bible 2 Exegetical Project 1 Part 0: Passage Selection 1 Here ( ) is a list of passages pre-approved for the exegetical packet 2 Use the discussion forum on Moodle for first-come-first-served selection of passages 2 Part 1: Observation Chart (submitted on Moodle only; you may not be able to submit using a smartphone due to the nature of Warners plagiarism checker software) 1 Formatting: include a heading with your name, and complete the project in Times New Roman, 12 pt font; this must be your original work and students must be careful not to plagiarize the sample or any other source in the two paragraphs and the chart (middle and right columns) 2 Fill out the chart found here ( ) by copying its content into your own separate document 3 Rubric is visible within the assignment on Moodle 3 Part 2: Exegetical Packet 1 Copy the contents of this document ( ) into your own document in order to complete and submit the packet. 2 Carefully follow the instructions outlined in the packet (note the 2250 word count with directions and instructional footnotes removed) 3 Submit through Moodle only; you may not be able to submit using a smartphone due to the nature of Warners plagiarism checker software. 4 Rubric is visible within the assignment on Moodle for the slideshow I am doing slides for chapter 4, and for chapter 5 of Roberts book of the Bible storyline
