Power point

Students will lead the class in a discussion (allotted time to be set by instructor) regarding an issue of particular interest that is currently impacting the world of counseling or populations in need of counseling support. Students are encouraged to come to the discussion with examples, material, and research that will support the significance of the topic in counseling PowerPoint presentations, media files, articles, and/or interactivities are encouraged. In Week 6, the instructor will coordinate with students to assign the days in which each student will lead the discussion of their choice.

10 minute Student-Led presentation.

look for past research on deportations and the impact on families in general and how it affects their mental health, to see what you find (while this Admin is using aggressive & inhumane tactics, deportations aren’t new) – Then look for testimonials from family members (news, local newspaper articles). Through lived experiences you can connect this experience as a traumatic event (you don’t have to explain trauma in general).
