Policy Assignment

Research a local or national current or pending bill or policy that impacts your volunteer agency. Create a public service announcement video to advocate for your stance on this bill or policy. An effective way to locate policy or legislation is to use you state legislative website. For example in Arizona it is azleg.gov. You do a keyword search on the website to locate a bill or legislation. You may also get recommendations by interviewing your supervisor at the volunteer agency.

Make sure that your video addresses the following:

• Description of the current or pending bill or policy
• Short description of your volunteer agency, including the mission and program overview.
• Potential impact on the population served at your volunteer agency.
• What action would you recommend as a next step
