Write an analysis on the poets use of imagery, figurative language, and/or symbolism,
allusion, etc. You must choose a set of poems by the same poet.
Audience:
Others interested in learning more about the particular poetry that you are analyzing.
Purpose: To give a close reading (an analysis) of poetry focusing on specific elements of
literature. You need to read the poems so you can make an informed decision as to which
you want to analyze.
