1. Objective of This Document

This document provides complete, precise, and mandatory instructions for preparing a full Project Management Report based on the assignment titled PLAN YOUR OWN PROJECT.

All instructions must be followed exactly as written.
Failure to include any required section, analysis, table, figure, or appendix may result in grade reduction or assignment failure.


2. General Project Requirements

  • Select a new, realistic, and feasible project within the Hospitality Industry, such as:
    • Hotel
    • Restaurant or caf
    • Catering business
    • Event management company
    • Luxury retail or F&B outlet
  • The project must be treated as a real-life professional project, not purely hypothetical.
  • The report must clearly demonstrate:
    • Project management knowledge
    • Logical structure
    • Professional tools and methodologies
  • If Hospitality background is unavailable, another industry may be selected only with instructor approval.

3. Report Length and Submission

  • Length: Approximately 8,000 words OR 1216 pages
    (excluding references and appendices)
  • Submission format: One complete report (Word or PDF)
  • Submission platform: Moodle
  • Late submission: Strictly not allowed grade will be 0

4. Formatting Requirements (Mandatory)

The report must strictly follow these formatting rules:

  • Font: Calibri
  • Font size: 11
  • Alignment: Justified
  • Line spacing: 1.15
  • Margins: 3 cm on all sides
  • Page numbers: Bottom of each page
  • Professional academic writing style with:
    • Clear headings and subheadings
    • Well-formatted tables and figures

III. Project Planning (65%) MOST IMPORTANT SECTION

1. Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) 15%

  • Detailed hierarchical WBS
  • Numbered levels (e.g., 1.0, 1.1, 1.1.1)
  • Each task must include:
    • Description
    • Deliverable/output
    • Acceptance criteria
  • WBS must cover the entire project lifecycle

2. RACI Matrix 10%

  • Complete RACI responsibility matrix
  • Rows: Main project activities/tasks
  • Columns: Project roles (PM, Finance, Operations, Marketing, Procurement, etc.)
