I am applying to competitive law schools (UGA, Emory, Georgia State). Please review this personal statement as if you are an admissions committee member reading quickly but critically.
Do not rewrite the essay unless necessary. Instead:
- Identify any areas where the essay feels emotionally restrained or overly formal.
- Identify any areas where it lacks individuality or sounds interchangeable with other applicants.
- Point out any sentences that feel vague, generic, or abstract.
- Tell me whether my motivation for law feels intellectually grounded or purely experiential.
- Tell me honestly whether this essay makes me sound ready for law school.
- Suggest one specific place where I could add a small humanizing detail without weakening the structure.
Be direct. Do not flatter. Focus on substance, tone, and competitiveness.
I do feel as though my tone is a bit robotic so please rewrite if necessary to humanize it.
